Domestic Violence
Programme
I created the domestic violence program after analysing and comparing the stories of the participants of my Masters thesis “How Women Escape the Self-Imposed Controls of Marriage" with the stories of the hundreds of women and young women I had worked with to date.
Through this work I built a framework to give people the tools and confidence to define themselves as individuals with strength, worth and value.
7 Week Programme

- Each session will take 60-75 minutes. You’ll cover the material in the modules and share and discuss ONLY what you want to.
- Sessions will be delivered via Skype or Zoom.
- You’ll do the sessions at your own pace and even with the homework, you don’t have to share anything you don’t want to. If you’re unable to do the homework, that’s fine too. It’s about your development and increasing your knowledge.
- Sessions are delivered on a one-to-one basis. Provision can be made for small group instruction, please contact us using the Get In Touch page
- Each session must be paid for in advance. If payment has not been received, the session will not be delivered. Individual sessions and full courses must be completed within 4 months to maximise the benefit of the programme.

Who are these programmes for?
Domestic Violence
Programme
This course is for anyone who has experienced domestic violence and abuse, wants to break the cycle of abuse and wants to learn how to make their children’s lives better.
For Muslims, I open up Pandoras box by looking at ‘Sabr and Dhulm’ (Patience and Injustice) and ‘Sharm and Izzat’ (Shame and Honour) in the context of Islam. I’ve focussed on Muslim women but this course will address the needs of all women and young people.
The aim is to change the thinking from ‘no one understands’ to “no one needs to understand, because I do and I’m important, I matter”.
Trauma Recovery
Programme
The Trauma Recovery Programme is for everyone who has encountered any type of trauma from being in, or witnessing, an accident to experiencing the loss of a loved one and feeling lost and overwhelmed in the process. It MUST be followed from Session 1 to Session 7.
It looks at the clusters we use to manage our emotions and provides coping skills to manage feelings of panic, anxiety and alarm. There will be exercises for you to do at the end of each session.
The aim is for you to know you're not going crazy. Your body is trying to tell you what's happening. You're going to learn how to listen to your body and identify what is happening.
Freedom
Programme
The Freedom Programme is for women who have experienced domestic abuse. It's for women who want to move forward and out of the situation they are in. Women will be able to share their experiences and learn from others experiences.
The Freedom programme is about assisting you to make the decisions you want to make through validation and confirmation of your experiences and feelings.
We do NOT give advice and we do NOT offer counselling. We offer support throughout the programme as we understand how difficult and distressing the process can be.
